Recently I have had some fun experimenting with some different materials. I have done some paintings combining oils over collage and acrylic. With the collage I can get an interesting textured surface. I have used different types of paper in this technique. I went to the local art store and bought a variety of papers, some handmade, and some marbled. I collage the paper using acrylic polymer medium. After this surface dries, I can paint what I want on the surface in either oil or acrylic. I have been experimenting with some metallic paints from Golden. This figure painting was done by painting the figure first in oil and then collaging around the figure and painting with metallic paints. The landscape was done in a similar way.
