Painting while in Quarantine
Quarantine has been a limitation on where we can go and what we can do. So to create a little bit of adventure in my art studio, I decided to try some new paints. I bought some Daniel Smith Iridescent watercolors: Iridescent Goldstone, Iridescent Bronze, Pearlescent Shimmer, Iridescent Blue Silver, Mayan Dark Blue. I used these mostly in the area surrounding the koi fish in my painting. I liked the shimmering effect it gave, much like the water that was swirling around in the koi pond. I worked from a photo that I took of a koi pond while on vacation in Hawaii.
