This painting was originally painted to celebrate my inlaws' fiftieth wedding anniversary. The sunflowers were chosen because they are the state flower for Kansas, where they lived. The table shows two coffee cups, which was a daily ritual for them. Also love letters and medals won in World War 2 are sitting on the table. I chose to make the print of Sunflowers and Coffee a way to help those in Ukraine, because sunflowers are a flower associated with Ukraine, and also the theme of love and war in the painting. Every sale of this print results in $25. being donated to a charity that helps Ukrainian refugees.
